03.09.12 Acworth

I went to Acworth on Friday to do the following maintenance work in the building.

I cleaned the two vents in the men's restroom that were dusty. I took the vents off the ceiling and scrubbed them with a brush and wiped them down real clean and put them back up.

I cleaned the return air duct and grill in the chapel located by the sacrament table under the pew. I vacuumed the inside of the vent and sprayed it with solution and wiped it down real good. I cleaned the spider webs out underneath the pew.

I installed two wheels on the ladder to make it easier to move around the building when it has to be used for work in the building.

I had to touch up several door frames with paint. I had to sand and wipe down the frames to get them ready before I painted them. I wasn't able to finish, I noticed the weather was good outside, so I took the opportunity to do the work needed on the electrical boxes.

I needed to paint the electrical boxes outside. I had to take the old anchors out and install the new ones back into the wall. I used a sand block to sand all the boxes and cleaned them with a solution and wiped them down with a rag. I used a piece of cardboard to slide behind each box, so I would not get paint on the wall and pipes coming down from the box. I spray painted each box with flat brown paint on one side of the building.

Worked 8 hours,

Jeff
